Rebekah Pierre

Rebekah joined the Board in March 2023. She is a care-experienced author and campaigner with a background as a child protection social worker and currently works for the British Association of social work. She is the editor of 'Free Loaves on Fridays', a forthcoming anthology on care-experience, as well as several other books on social care.
Rebekah has drawn upon her lived and professional experience to expose wider policy failures in peer-reviewed journals, news outlets such as BBC and Radio 4 and The Guardian. She is passionate about ensuring equality of care for all children and young people.
