Alice and her favourite teachers bring home Highly Commended for Best Not-for-Profit Award
One of our students from Inscape House School, Alice (12), accompanied by Emma and Kathryn, her favourite teachers, took on the task of representing the Together Trust at the Stockport Business Awards gala on Thursday, 6 October.
Earlier this year, Alice was very professional in helping our communications team film a video about why Together Trust deserves to be nominated. She took us on a tour of her school, interviewed the staff and showed us all her favourite spots. As a result of her work, we were nominated for best Not-for-Profit!
Naturally, we had to send Alice to accept the award on our behalf if we won. She was greeted with orange juice served in a flute glass, had an elegant three-course meal, and enjoyed the wonderful awards presented by Jenny Powell. Emma, her teacher, says:
"Alice had the best time ever! We also were honoured to have been a part of it, and it was lovely to see her sat with members of Stockport council who were all interested in what we did and the work we do."
Whilst we may not have won this time, we have been Highly Commended for Best Not-for-Profit Organisation Award.
We were lucky to be nominated alongside two amazing local charities Signpost Stockport for Carers and Pure Innovations and we're happy for Signpost Stockport for Carers for taking home the award!
