Greater Manchester’s specialist schools join forces for music extravaganza
Pupils from specialist schools across Greater Manchester and Cheshire came together for the Together Trust’s Music Festival.
Hosted at the Lowry in Salford Quays, the festival showcased performances from 90 students from the Together Trust’s specialist education settings and other specialist schools from the region.
Students from Bridge College and Inscape House School performed on the drums, whilst other students sang and danced.

Our pupils from Inscape put a lot of time and effort into preparing for their African drumming performance at the Lowry and really did themselves proud. They get a lot out of drumming and their music sessions, both as a leisure activity and sensory experience. It was nice to see how much they enjoyed just attending the concert, watching other schools from across the region perform – to perform ourselves was an added bonus.

It was a privilege to be back at the Lowry again for the Together Trust’s Music Festival. We enjoyed watching specialist schools from across the North West showcase their talents in singing, dancing, drumming and comedy.
This event is one of the highlights of the year and I want to thank the students and staff for their hard work and brilliant performances. I also want to thank the Mayor of Salford Anne Marie Humphrey, for her attendance at a wonderful event.
