What about the children? We’ve signed an open letter to Chair of COVID-19 inquiry

We at the Together Trust, along with over 40 children's charities and professionals in child development, are deeply concerned about the unacceptable delays in taking evidence from children regarding the effects of lockdown during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Recent studies have highlighted the significant impact of the pandemic on our children's social and emotional well-being, as well as their communication skills.

That’s why we have signed an open letter written by Save the Children UK to the chair of the COVID-19 inquiry, the Rt Hon Baroness Heather Hallett, urging her to capture children's experiences without further delay.

We firmly believe that children's experiences and viewpoints should be at the forefront of this inquiry given that the pandemic and resulting government decisions have drastically altered their lives.
