Together Trust transforms into Spooky Wonderland
Ghouly guests, benevolent witches, Marvel heroes and Disney princesses were just some of the latest enrolments at our Cheadle campus on 26 October as we hosted the second-ever Halloween Together festival.
Over 850 children, young people and families entered through the gates to enjoy a host of local vendors, entertainment and food in the bright winter sunshine.
Sarah Sikora, Together Trust Fundraiser, says:
“What a spectacular day! It was amazing to see people of all ages get into the spooky spirit and take part in so many fun activities.
As always, we made every effort to make the day accessible and it was so exciting to see children and young people participate in our sensory activities and trick-or-treating.
We were delighted to welcome back vendors from our previous festivals and introduce some new faces – selling a huge selection of homemade crafts and treats. Thank you to everyone who came, partook, and made the day possible!”
Guests enjoyed trick-or-treating from spookily decorated stalls, tucking into mummy-wrapped hot dogs, taking the wheel in bumper car fun, and crafty activities that lasted from 11am until 3pm – with 11am to 12 noon allotted as our Quiet Hour to accommodate all of visitors.
As well as being a wonderful and enthusiastic crowd, our amazing festival go-ers raised over £3250 which is going directly towards our life-changing services across Greater Manchester, championing and caring for people with disabilities, autism, complex health needs, and care-experienced people.
Thank you to all the incredible volunteers who generously donated their time to make this day such a success.
We look forward to seeing what creative costumes you come up with at next year’s event!
