Recognition of Inscape House School’s student distinction at the Pupil Library Assistant of the Year Awards

Eighteen-year-old Faye Hanaghan, one of our outstanding students at Inscape House School, had an exciting day this Tuesday at a special ceremony in London after being shortlisted for the Pupil Library Assistant of the Year Awards.
Even though she didn’t take home the top prize, the event was a joyful celebration for Faye, recognising her exceptional work in the school library. The guest speaker, Russell Kane, delivered an inspiring talk about the importance of libraries and their positive impact on mental wellbeing. He emphasised the need for young people, particularly boys, to have access to literature that can guide and inform them.
After the ceremony, Faye had the wonderful opportunity to chat with several published authors and received signed copies of their books. In a generous gesture, she donated some of the signed books to Inscape House School’s library.
Jenna-May Griffiths, Librarian at Inscape House School, shares:

We are truly proud of Faye and her remarkable achievement. It’s wonderful to see her hard work pay off, and we would also like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Jenna-May Griffiths, the school librarian. Her nomination and unwavering support have been instrumental in Faye’s journey, and we’re grateful for her dedication.
