Kate’s wedding gift to Bridge College
Kate and Maggie paid a special visit to Bridge College in December. Maggie Thompson, who previously served as a Principal from 2006-2013, revisited the college with Kate Hulse. Kate is the daughter of the beloved former Deputy Principal, Cath Hulse.
During the tour, they explored the entire college, including the new state-of-the-art sensory room and hydro pool. Both visitors were impressed by the modern facilities while acknowledging the college's commitment to its original ethos of prioritising students.
The students eagerly introduced themselves and showcased their customer service skills in the café.
Kate shared with the students that her mother used to be the Deputy Principal of the college. Additionally, she revealed that she is getting married next summer and, instead of traditional gifts, is encouraging guests to donate to the college.
This presents a wonderful opportunity for the student council to collaborate and propose how the funds raised will be utilised. Some ideas currently under consideration include contributing to a residential trip or acquiring assistive technology equipment.
We’d like to thank Kate for this amazing generosity and wish her all the best for her wedding.
