Beep beep: Inscape House School students experience the world of auto retail
This term, two students from Inscape House School had the amazing opportunity to undertake work experience with the team at LSH Auto UK Limited, the world’s largest Mercedes-Benz and Smart retailer, located in Stockport.
Throughout the programme students got a unique insight into the backstage of auto retail, finding out more about how cars are prepared for sale. We got an exclusive tour of the site where they get cars ready for the showroom - from making sure they are clean, looking good and sounding healthy.
Marie Young, Careers Teacher at Inscape House School says: “Students have been doing amazingly! The work experience is very well planned, and they really put effort into making sure our learners experience a wide variety of tasks.”
The two students were able to do a job rotation and experience multiple departments between shop floor and all the work that goes on behind the scenes. In the warehouse, they were equipped with state-of-the-art cameras and shown how to take photos of the cars.
Andrew from Mercedes showed the students how to take photos, going through quality control process for images and making sure the team have all the best shots.
